There are a number of finishing and specialty options available with MicroDose® unit-dose packaging, including the following:

Tip Options:

  • Snip off Tip: Available with the Standard MicroDose® and MicroTipTM syringeable.
  • Pull-off Tip: Available with the Standard MicroDose® and MicroTipTM syringeable. Grasp the tab and pull away from the tip. Opens with a "snap".
  • Twist-Off Tip: Available with the MicroTwistTM line. Grasp the tab between thumb and forefinger. Give it a twist and the tab breaks away clean. For one hand opening, push the tab over with the thumb. The tab will stay attached.

Plastic Resins:

Our resins are food-grade and have no anti-slip or anti-block compounds. They are stable in a wide range of materials.

  • LDPE (Low-Density-Polyethylene) is the standard resin. The flexibility and durability make it an excellent choice for non-volatile products.
  • MDPE  (High-Density-Polyethylene/ Low-Density-Polyethylene Blend) is available for products that require enhanced barrier protection. This unique blend of resins maintains flexibility, yet delivers improved barrier performance.
  • See our Technical Bulletins link for more information regarding shelf-life testing.

Colors:

Natural (no pigment added) is the standard resin for MicroDose® unit-dose vials,  Twist-Tip® unit-dose vials, and MicroDose® Syringeable dispensers. Of course, we can add the pigment of your choice or select one of our standard options. Please note that all pigmented plastic requires a slight cost increase and additional production lead-time.
